Disguise Cosmetics, one of India’s leading PETA approved vegan and cruelty-free beauty brands, has launched a new Satin Smooth Eye Shadow Palette, which is also the first talc free Indian palette. With 16 shades and 4 different finishes, the palette can be customised by choosing six individual Satin Smooth Eye Shadow Squares to create a variety of looks. It comes in sustainable packaging with paper palettes for individual shades.
Talc or talcum powder as an ingredient in eye shadows has been a cause of concern due to the presence of asbestos in it, which can not only cause allergies but is also carcinogenic. Being talc free also helps the eye shadow to stay intact for a longer time, according to a company statement shared with The Vegan Indians.
The mica used for the Satin Smooth Eye Shadows is ethically sourced with no involvement of child labour. With a tropical print on the outside and a size that’s perfect for anyone on the go, the Satin Smooth Eye Shadow Palette is made with sustainable paper packaging and can be used for life as the palette features replaceable individual pans to customise shades and finishes in order to minimise waste and maximise usage.
The texture of all Satin Smooth Eye Shadow Squares is balanced between cream and powder. They are pigmented, easy to blend and glide well across the eyelids, to last for hours. A big advantage is less flyaway, which means it doesn’t spread all across the face, making it easier to control while using and minimises product wastage.
Disguise Cosmetics’ new Eye Shadow Palette is available in 16 shades in satin, shimmer, frosted and metallic finishes, suitable for all skin types. It can be applied using either fingers or brush. The talc free base makes it easier to blend for a gradient look but also works well as a single shadow.
The product became available on the company’s website from December 4, 2020 and is priced at Rs. 1,500 for 6 squares, Rs 300 for each square, and Rs 300 for empty palette.
