Horlicks, one of world’s most popular malt beverage brand, has launched a vegan version of its drink in the UK. According to the brand’s Instagram page, the ‘all malt no moo’ Horlicks was decided to be launched due to the increasing demand by customers for dairy-free Horlicks.
The new addition to the Horlicks family, Vegan Horlicks is free from artificial colours and flavours sweeteners and preservatives. It boasts of 14 key vitamins and minerals and has been developed to not only for vegans, but also for lactose intolerant individuals. The drink is ideal for both kids and adults, and can be enjoyed hot or cold.
According to the brand, trials with the new product showed that ‘it tastes particularly well with popular barista alternatives, creating the same, thick, creamy and warming hug in mug as the original favourite.’ Horlicks Vegan is now available in Asda stores in the new dedicated ambient vegan aisle, where it has launched alongside over 100 new vegan-friendly products.
Before Horlicks, Milo had also released their vegan version due to the spiralling demand for such products.
