Brooklyn Creamery Launches Two Vegan Ice Cream Flavours in Indian Market

Brooklyn Creamery, the brand best known for offering low calorie ice creams, has recently introduced two dairy-free and vegan ice cream flavours in the market. The brand, which started its operations in New York and has become a popular name amongst Indian customers, is now looking to tap the vegan ice cream market with its ‘Chocolate & Coconut’ and ‘Chocolate Therapy’ flavours.

Chocolate & Coconut is a blend of the cocoa and coconut flakes bites with a creamy chocolate fudge ice cream, while Chocolate Therapy is a combination of cocoa, chocolate fudge sauce and cocoa nibs. Both flavours are made with coconut milk and contain no added sugar.

As per sources, the ice creams are currently available in Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Customers can buy the ice creams via the company website, Swiggy or Zomato.

Brooklyn Creamery had launched its vegan range with six flavours in the Middle East last year.

Veganism is gaining popularity in India, especially in the metros, and people are constantly looking for options that could make it easier for them to follow the compassionate lifestyle. Various vegan ice cream brands have come up in the Indian market, which are not just targeting vegans but also lactose-intolerant customers. Amongst global ice cream brands, Baskin Robbins was the first one to have introduced its vegan ice creams in India. Now with the entry of Brooklyn Creamery into this segment, it seems pretty clear that more brands are expected to follow suit.
