Kinder Fest in Kolkata Aims to Make People Aware of an Eco-Conscious and Vegan Lifestyle

Veganism is growing rapidly in India and is being embraced by people from all walks of life. With plant-based food and lifestyle options galore, the transition has become a lot easier. For those who are still contemplating the switch, there are communities that can help them make the decision faster. One such community is Kinder Bengal, a movement that wishes to see a future “which is kinder than present”. The team is now organising ‘Kinder Fest’ in Kolkata, with an idea to promote a kinder, eco-conscious and vegan lifestyle.

The event is set to take place on 16 May, 2021 at Ahimsa Bhawan, Chakraberia Road in Kolkata and will feature vegan food stalls, zero waste products, and cruelty-free vegan apparels & accessories. Kinder Fest will also have awareness and pet adoption stalls, live Zumba sessions by a vegan fitness trainer, quiz and other interesting games, as well as plant-based cooking workshops.

According to the organisers, “People are becoming more conscious of their lifestyle choices but many are not aware of the availability of choices. This fest is going to remove that and motivate people to adopt a kinder lifestyle with ease.”

“Response has been very encouraging. Stalls are already filled and it seems in coming days, we might need to go for a bigger venue.”
