Like every year, RainTree at Sankey Road in Bengaluru is hosting a Christmas carnival, and Bengalureans are expected to attend the event with full zeal. The two day event from 4-5 December will serve as an outdoor bazaar showcasing fashion jewellery, accessories, footwear, garden ornaments, eatables, etc.
However, this year the festival is even more special, as for the first time, there will be a vegan stall with delectable goodies on offer. Happy Vegan, a homegrown business that offers healthy vegan food, has put up a stall at the event. They will be offering a range of desserts, vegan cheese, mockmeat, vegan cakes, cookies, and a lot more.
Kashish Amit, the founder of Happy Vegan, is excited! “This is the first time the event will have an all-vegan stall, and my intention here is to change people’s mindset about veganism and vegan food. When a non-vegan tastes a sample of our truffles or chocolate mousse, they don’t believe it is vegan. That’s when we get an opportunity to make them understand the importance of veganism, its health benefits, and of course, animal cruelty. Through my stall here, I will be able to shatter the myth that vegan food is not tasty, while also informing non-vegans about the adverse effects of dairy or animal derived products. I have so many clients who are non-vegans, but they have started changing their lifestyles by slowly switching over to vegan products.”
Happy Vegan was founded in 2019 in the kitchen of fitness instructor Kashish Amit. She has been passionately invested in this project after committing to a Vegan lifestyle. Happy Vegan specialises in home made, healthy vegan food. One may choose from their range of sauces, dips, salad dressings, dosa batter, brownies, healthy pickles, hummus, truffles, tofu, amongst several other products.
