Lotus Herbals Launches Vegan, Cruelty-Free Range ‘Lotus Botanicals’

With the demand for natural, organic and vegan beauty products rising across the world, brands have started eyeing this segment for growth. According to reports, clean beauty market is poised to touch the $54 billion mark by 2027.

Now, one of India’s leading beauty brands Lotus has also entered this growing market with its Lotus Botanicals range. The product range of Lotus Botanicals contains Vitamin C, and the company says that it is the first in India to be using baking soda for skincare, and ginger and red onion for hair care products. The products are suitable for every skin and hair type.

The company says that the entire range is free of parabens, silicone and sulphates, besides being cruelty-free and 100% vegan. For now, this brand is available on the company website. With a focussed D2C strategy, the company plans to leverage the growing e-commerce industry, and soon, the entire range will be available on many third-party e-commerce portals.

Nitin Passi, Managing Director, Lotus Herbals, said in a company statement, “With the pandemic and the shift of attention towards all things safe and natural, Lotus Botanicals has made it a mission; to create products that are a harmonious balance between nature and science.”

He further added, “We believe that beauty and nature have to co-exist. Wellness cannot come at the cost of nature, and therefore all our products are formulated using potent plant botanical extracts and are completely free of harmful chemicals. The packaging for this brand is either completely recyclable or FSC certified.” He also expressed his gratitude towards the consumers, saying, “We are thankful to our consumers for the immense love they have shown to our products.”

Marketing surveys say that millennials are becoming more aware of what they are using on their bodies and often check labels before purchasing a product. Companies have understood this and have shifted their focus on products that are closer to nature and do not involve any cruelty towards animals.
