Vegan K-Beauty Brand ‘The Plant Base’ Now Available in India

The Plant Base, the highly popular South Korean (K) beauty brand, has been launched in India by e-commerce platform Maccaron Beauty. Founded in 2005, The Plant Base offers 100% natural, cruelty-free, vegan-friendly, hypoallergenic, and high-performance products that are customised with ingredients considered good for the skin.

According to the company, its products are known to reinforce the skin barriers, giving vitality, brightening tone, moisturising, and controlling peroxide lipid formation to heal effects of ageing. With eight different ranges and 45 skin care products, The Plant Base products are available in over 10 countries and 100 global stores. In India, one can buy from a range of cleansing foams, toners, ampules, lotions, and more, through Maccaron Beauty online store.

Besides The Plant Base, Maccaron has also launched in India another K-beauty brand ‘Benton’, which offers a range of toners, serums, eye creams, mask sheets, etc. The brand has been named after the movie “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”, where the protagonist ages backward, thus curating the concept of a clean skincare brand that turns back time. It is not 100% vegan because it uses snail mucin and bee venom in many products but the brand is PETA-approved cruelty-free since it doesn’t test its products on animals. However, there are still some vegan options to choose from.

Maccaron Beauty is currently offering exclusive offers on various products of both brands.

Often referred to as K-beauty, the Korean beauty regimen is taking the world by storm and India is no exception. K-beauty is actually an umbrella term used for skincare products originating in countries of South, East and South-East Asia. Due to its focus on hydration, youthfulness and brightening, the products are highly sought-after across the world. According to available data, Asia-Pacific is the largest market for K-beauty brands, with majority of customers from Asian countries such as China, Hong Kong, India and South Korea.
